The CAADX in 105 spec is a very highly rated cyclocross bike and as the 2013 one can’t be too far away the deals are beginning to emerge. Evans Cycles (a large UK chain of bike shops) is currently selling this bike for £880 or a 20% saving from retail – for such a good all round bike this is a terrific buy.

I seriously considered buying one myself this time last year as a cyclocross bike makes a terrific all rounder – you can ride on road, off road, commute – it’ll almost go anywhere other than proper off road mountain biking:

I have had a brief ride on one and it rode very well. The only negative for me was the cantilever brakes but for most people that’s not an issue.
