Pearl Izumi launch UK brand ambassador programme

Today clothing brand, Pearl Izumi, have launched a UK brand ambassador programme open to all road and off-road cyclists, male or female.

Pearl Izumi say they’re looking for a diverse range of cycling enthusiasts across all levels and abilities who share a passion for the sport. The successful applicants who will be part of the Pearl Izumi Champion Team, should be dedicated to inspiring others to try cycling, be willing to challenge themselves out on the road or trail and have a desire to grow the sport in the UK through their local community and social media, according to the press release for the project.

Those chosen to be part of the programme will receive limited edition Pearl Izumi kit, invitations to exclusive events, entrance to races, monthly fitness goals and expert tuition to really test themselves. Members of the Pearl Izumi Champion Team will also receive discounts off cycling apparel on www.pearlizumi.co.uk and receive discount codes for their friends, family and social media communities.

Clemence Copie of Pearl Izumi UK, said: “We want to find the lynchpins of cycling communities big and small to help inspire others to get on the saddle. At Pearl Izumi, we are lucky that we get to work in the sport that we love, so we wanted to provide fans with an opportunity to be part of an inspirational cycling movement to help the sport continue to grow in 2017 and beyond.”

The press release adds, successful candidates will ride in Pearl Izumi Champion Team colours in 2017 and must be willing to challenge themselves but not lose sight of why they love to cycle

Successful ambassadors will be chosen in December 2016, with the programme lasting for 10 months from February 2017.

Pearl Izumi is a long established brand that’s part of the Shimano family. The company recently dropped it’s line of running clothing to more fully concentrate on cycling, so if you’re interested in being an ambassador, it could be an interesting time to get involved.
